Sex education in schools!
Provide Sex education in schools or not? This is the question for which every state in India are trying to find answer. All know the correct answers but no state is ready to fully accept the correct answer. Madhya Pradesh has implemented this education but after two years of running it they abolished it from school curriculum. Fundamentalist raised their voices against it and current political party at power don’t want to take risk know as they have to face election in near future.

With spiraling rate of AIDS in India, India needs this education at school level. But accepting new methods need courage and effort to initiate. It is different matter if some event or time throws change on you. Then people find alibi that it is not me but this & that reasons who are causing it.

I don’t understand why fundamentalists are called fundamentalists! Currently, so called fundamentalists are not holding any fundamental value.

Anyway In my opinion sex education must be taught in 10th standard, If not earlier. At 10th standard, people are much matured and they are already become aware of their sex. So instead of leaving them to learn sex practice from wrong source (cheap publication,) we should give them idea of what and how of sex. With sex education, maternity and paternity responsibility should be thought in simpler manner, So that every family can become correct first schools.

Sex Education: Where the Right is Right and Wrong

The story takes place in 1980 New Jersey as the state board of education begins to consider mandatory sex education in all grades. The fiction is that a conservative opposition rises to oppose sex education by electing like-minded candidates to school boards across the state. In the New Jersey of the eighties there were state mandates, but most politics was local. The state could push sex education on local school systems, but it would require aggressive advocacy and teacher instruction.

Twenty eight years after sex education was approved by our state legislature, I read opposing arguments from across the country no different from 1980. Today, August 12, I saw a slightly new twist from National Review Editor Kathryn Jean Lopez. I’ve always believed that people should see both sides of a debate, so I direct you to her piece. Lopez’ interesting twist is that sex education advocates try too hard to mix education with pop culture to make knowledge “cool” for kids, and the result is that they don’t learn what they should. I don’t dispute her point, but sex educators have not been the only guilty parties; look at the advertisers who market directly to children to get them to eat sweets or fast food or buy expensive and sometimes revealing clothes. The difference is that conservatives believe in a free, unregulated marketplace for the advertisers, but not for sex educators. It always amazes me that, when it comes to children, they don’t believe in a two way street.

There are effective ways to teach sex education without approaching the point of explicitness, by showing that abstinence is a true choice and showing respect for personal decisions. An effective sex education site should cover several topics including not only sex and sexually transmitted diseases, but also behaviors that cause sexual tensions, human relations and family life.

One point I tried to make in my novel is that sex education is about more than sex. I only wish the right wing would understand that without flying off the handle However, I add that sex education is like drivers education; if you teach it well, you can save lives, teach it poorly and you can damage lives. There should never be a flippantly taught, half-hearted sex education program in any school that goes too far to extremes.

Lopez points to a site for an organization that she likes called the Best Friends Foundation (see>http://www.bestfriendsfoundation.org). Best Friends does much the same as a good sex education program, including peer counseling; only the organization places abstinence at the heart of its mission. And like Sex Etc., Best Friends does not go overboard to try to be cool to a teen audience so the message gets lost. They have my respect, but they’re giving only one side of the message. And that’s why abstinence-only money has been refused by half of our states.

Sexuality is taught in a moral vacuum

Parents have the right to remove their children from sex education classes without affecting the rest of the academic program. Parents have to remember to opt-out every school year, because sex education classes are taught every year in most places, from elementary school all the way through high school. If more Muslim parents knew what is in the sex-education curriculum being taught at their child’s school, they would insist that their child be exempted from the classes. Why should Muslim parents do this? Because public schools teach human sexuality in a moral vacuum without regard for the laws of Islam or any other religion. The classes go far beyond the basic biological facts and present the haram and the halal without distinction.

The classes present as ‘alternatives” sexual partners and acts that are not permissible in Islam. Not just in America, but in other Western countries as well, Muslim youth in these classes are given the message that this value-free perspective is accepted by their parents as a part of the children’s education. The result is evident when, in discussing Allah’s guidance for men and women, a Muslim teenager responds with “What’s the big deal? It’s just sex.”

An important book for Muslim parents and teachers was written by a young Jewish woman, Wendy Shalit. At the beginning of each school year, her parents removed her from the coed sex-education classes in her school. Her book, A Return to Modesty: Discovering the Lost Virtue discusses sex education and its effects on the behavior of male and female students at various grade levels within the larger context of a permissive society. She talks about her own experience as an “outsider” to the sex education classes and provides documentation from many sources to support her arguments.

Halal sex is a mercy and a protection

Sex Education: An Islamic Perspective by Dr. Shahid Athar, ed. also uses a lot of documentation to support his work. He stresses that it is important that Muslims, adult and children, know that the halal sex is a mercy and a protection from Allah. Dr. Shahid Athar presents an Islamic viewpoint on public school curriculum and provides instructive responses that Muslim parents and teachers are able to give to children in place of it.

Safe sex is not the same as halal sex.

Sex education classes may range from those giving a small amount of information to those with very explicit content. Some classes even teach the use of condoms with the help of a banana or cucumber. That is because one focus of sex education classes is on safe sex. But safe sex is not the same as halal sex. Safe sex is primarily an issue for those who go beyond the halal:

A new CDC study indicates that one in four (26%) female adolescents in the United States has at least one of the most common sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

It is all too easy to forget the seriousness of sexual misconduct for Muslims living in a Western society. Yet the fact remains, that Allah takes our sexuality very seriously. Sexual misconduct is treated not just a personal sin, for which one may seek for forgiveness, but as a breach of social order, complete with criminal penalties. Muslim parents are doing their children a serious disservice by allowing them to become wrongly educated in their thinking about sex when Allah holds them accountable to such a high standard. Moreover, as parents, we are also accountable to Allah if we allow our children to be taught that sexual choices have no more substance than the choice of a favorite color or a favorite shirt.

The Most Recent on Doug Kmiec

Prof. Doug Kmiec, chief apologist and shill for Sen. Obama among the Catholics, is now claiming that the Democrat Party is making strides toward "honoring life" in their platform.

As Deal Hudson points out, does the following language sound like the Democrats are "honoring life"?

The Democratic Party strongly and unequivocally supports Roe v Wade and a woman's right to choose a safe and legal abortion, regardless of ability to pay [ED.: Which, of course, means they advocate overturning the Hyde Amendment, which has been credited with saving at least a million lives, so that your tax dollars can be used to fund abortion.], and we oppose any and all efforts to weaken or undermine that right [ED.: Including the ban on partial birth abortion, parental consent/notification laws, ultrasound requirements, etc., and which opposition entails enacting the so-called Freedom of Choice Act, which would invalidate all such federal, state or local laws that deny or interfere with a woman’s access to abortion].

Hudson also points out that the Dems no longer retain the "rare" part of the "safe, legal and rare" formula that has been part of the Democrat platform since 1992.

And funny how Kmiec's piece fails to mention this little tidbit from the Democrat platform that is making such "strides toward honoring life":

The Democratic Party also strongly supports access to affordable family planning services [ED.: Again, your tax dollars at work to fund the pill, Plan-B, and other contraceptive devices to prevent implantation of a fertilized egg.] and comprehensive age-appropriate sex education [ED.: Age appropriate? You mean like this? And do not think for one minute that abstinence education has any place in this so-called "comprehensive" sex education?] which empower people to make informed choices and live healthy lives.

Particularly troubling in Kmiec's piece is this line:

Barack Obama is a different type of candidate. [ED.: How so? The next line gives lie to this assertion. Wait for it ... it's a doozy.] As he sees it, Roe is not an endorsement of abortion, so much as an affirmation that abortion is a moral question for which only the potential mother can give answer.

The "potential mother"? Kmiec needs to be called on the carpet by pro-life Catholics for the brutal (and, from a Catholic and Natural Law perspective, nonsensical) formulation of "the potential mother".

Fortunately, one commenter at Catholic Online caught this and called Kmiec on it:

"Potential mother?" Someone has been drinking heavily from the Obama Kool-Aid, and that someone would be you, sir. There's no such woman as a "potential mother;" once her egg has been fertilized with the father's sperm, she's a mother. Calling her a "potential mother" makes no more sense than claiming that abortion makes her "unpregnant." Abortion makes a mother --not a "potential mother"-- of a dead baby.

For good measure, Creative Minority Report contrasts Kmiec's apology for the "new" language in the Democrat platform to the unequivocal statement in favor of life from the Kansas Bishops and finds Kmiec's pro-choice shilling to be wanting by comparison.

I'm sad to say that Prof. Kmiec continues to argue in bad faith in pushing Sen. Obama's candidacy. He should definitely vote for Sen. Obama if he believes his conscience is pushing him in that direction, and he should hold his nose in doing so just as many Catholic McCain supporters will hold their noses in voting for McCain (again, I'm not among the McCain supporters). But Kmiec should STOP trying to convince people that Sen. Obama and the Democrat Party are something that they quite clearly ARE NOT.

What?? Are you kidding me?? Just when you think you have heard it all, OMG! Actually, it’s not as bad as it sounds. It really is just explaining some “common sense” behaviors for teachers. Yeah, yeah, I know, teachers should know this stuff. But, the way technology is, and how it is advancing along with all the scandals (possibly lack of some self-control) it might be wise to study up on some critical advise. I know it sounds crazy, but with all the myspace, text and IM messaging, people can get caught up. Just making teachers aware of some of the do’s and don’ts of how not to cross the line when trying to help some of these lost souls. I’d take the class if it was offered!

It’s a class every new teacher within AISD must take called: how to maintain a professional relationship with a student and avoid any instances of misconduct, sexual or otherwise.

“It’s not about child abuse,” said AISD police Lt. Silas Griggs. “It’s not about the age of the child. It’s about the relationship between the educator and the student. It’s about the educator’s ability to manipulate the student.”

That is the message AISD is trying to teach teachers before an incident ever arises. Teachers must avoid creating too personal of a relationship with a student. That includes no physical misconduct and no inappropriate contact via e-mail, text message or social networking sites.

“We are trying to teach them to not give out their personal contact information, not to make them their friends on ‘Facebook’ or ‘Myspace,’” said AISD attorney Ylise Janssen.

Janssen said she tells all new teachers that any web surfing or e-mail writing they do on District computers is not confidential and it’s not private.

Other inappropriate behavior includes text messaging a student late at night or instant messaging about anything not school related.

“This is so they’re not in a position to come back later and say ‘I just didn’t know,’ ” she said. “They know when they leave our trainings that it’s serious business.”

Today, the Episcopal Public Policy Network (”EPPN”), a social justice lobbying effort by the Episcopal Church in America, published The REAL Act & The Episcopal Church. The REAL Act, as defined by the online group Advocates for Youth, is the Responsible Education About Life (”REAL”) Act.

[S]ponsored by Senator Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) and Representatives Barbara Lee (D-CA) and Christopher Shays (R-CT), [the Act] would provide federal money to support responsible sex education in schools. This education would include science-based, medically accurate, and age appropriate public health information about both abstinence and contraception.

EPPN outlines reasons the REAL Act is worthy of your support:

In 2006 the teen birth rate went up for the first time in 15 years

* With over 750,000 teen pregnancies each year, America has the highest rate of teen pregnancy in the industrialized world.
* 31% of young women become pregnant at least once before the age of 20.
* Roughly half of the nation’s 19 million STDs occur among 14-25 year olds. Nearly one in four teenage girls, and half of African-American girls, have at least one STD. (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention)

According to The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy: “Teen pregnancy is closely linked to a host of other critical social issues — poverty and income, overall child well-being, out-of-wedlock births, responsible fatherhood, health issues, education, child welfare, and other risky behavior.”

The REAL Act emphasizes comprehensive, medically accurate and age appropriate preventive sex education for America’s youth. Sadly that is not the case with present federally funded programs that emphasize abstinence only at the expense of scientifically accurate and comprehensive education. A 2006 report from the Government Accountability Office found that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ abstinence-only approach to sex education does not require medically accurate information and lacks accountability. One curriculum even asserted that HIV/AIDS can be spread through sweat and tears.

For many adolescents, the lack of comprehensive sex education courses in schools means that the only formal reproductive health education they receive is inaccurate abstinence- only programs.

I grabbed my car keys and tried to drive as fast as I can to school but the sad-old-lady in front of me was driving very slowly on a ONE WAY LANE! So I had to wait anxiously and patiently and wishing that the sad-old-lady would someone turn or disappear. After excruciating minutes waiting for that sad-old-lady to turn or disappear she FINALLY turned and left me alone. I became cheerful again and started singing my heart out a song by Daniel Powter called bad day. But wait… it wasn’t yet the time to celebrate… in front of me was this Kijang car packed with Indians and they were driving in about 20KM/h on a (as you know might have guessed) ONE WAY LANE. GAD!!!! That’s why you should become scientists, kids! (Because engineers don’t have sex. You want me to spell it out for you?)

I really should just leave it at that, but the sprawling, multifaceted stupidity of this public service announcement — apparently having sex, like smoking the wacky weed, kills brain cells and will cripple your SAT scores, or something — is difficult to let pass without comment. The immaturity of our cultural attitudes toward sex is flat-out embarrassing. There are real concerns that adolescents should be taught about — disease and the risk of unwanted pregnancy being the obvious ones. But they should also be taught that, as long as you are careful about such things, there is nothing wrong with having sex. Done correctly, it can be fun! Sure, there can be emotional trauma, awkward moments, broken hearts, impetuous late-night phone calls that you wish you could take back the next day. But these are downsides associated with life, not with sex per se.

But as a society, we’re too uptight and hypocritical to say these things. Instead, we get stuff like abstinence-only sex ed, with predictable results. And adolescence, which isn’t going to be an easy time of life for most people no matter how much sensible advice they are given, becomes just that much more agonizing and uncertain.

Except for engineers, of course! They have it figured out.

Sex Education an Inssue on Both Sides of the Pond
In a recent report, England’s Independent Advisory Group on Sexual Health and HIV made recommendations for compulsory sex and relationship education nationwide. The goal is to decrease teen pregnancies and the growing rates of STIs among the young population. Right now, half of new STI cases are among 16-24 year olds who only account for 12% of the population. In one school that already teaches Sex and Relationship Education, six and seven year olds are taught about male and female body parts through the use of flash cards. While some think learning about the human body at an earlier age may make adolescents more curious about sex, much of the programming on TV and ads on the streets already display such images. The difference is that with a compulsory plan in place, curiosity is less likely to result in STIs or teen pregnancy since students will be informed about contraception and birth control.

Here in the US, where there is no federal mandate for sex ed. According to the Guttmacher Institute’s State Policies in Brief fact sheet, less than half the states in the union mandate sex education in public schools, while 23 states require abstinence be stressed over contraception if it is taught. Only 14 states and the District of Columbia require contraception be covered and no state requires that contraception be stressed. To change these figures and improve education it would be necessary to move the focus from abstinence-only to comprehensive sex education, which would cover information on contraception, abortion, relationships and sex, STDs, as well as sexual expression.

Even if better programs could be provided, they still would not be compulsory as is the plan for England, leaving the possibility of young adults lacking necessary education. In many cases, comprehensive sex education is still antagonized by parents, as it was in Montgomery County in upstate New York when Planned Parenthood was brought in to provide sex education classes for 7th and 8th graders. Parents of students there began to protest the presence of Planned Parenthood, even though it is through the help of such organizations that the county could help rid itself of the second highest teen birthrate in all of New York State.

The high STI rates in England and the high pregnancy rates in Montgomery County seem to be indicative of failures of the sex education programs in place. Despite this fact, many American parents are unwilling to change these faulty systems, leaving their children ignorant and vulnerable, while England is striving to move forward with sex education reform.

On Tuesday, August 12, a loose coalition of anti-abortion progressive evangelicals and Catholics held a press event to toot their own horn. The new Democratic Party Platform, they claimed, took a big step in their direction. The Platform's explicit support for a woman's decision "to have a child," they argued, represents a common ground position. But the fact that pro-choice advocates have always supported both the right to choose an abortion and the right to choose a child immediately undercuts any illusion that anti-abortion progressives either understand what choice means or have any sincere desire to stand on common ground with pro-choice progressives. Rather than standing on "common ground," these self proclaimed pro-lifers are hanging on the edge of cliff by their finger tips.

Not only is the new platform stronger in its support for the right to choose abortion, it embraces the concept of reproductive justice including not only family planning but comprehensive sexuality education. If, in fact, these folks had anything to do with this new plank, they did those of us who are pro-choice a big favor.

The 2004 Platform on choice was 59 words; this year's Platform devotes 127 words to the issue and sounds like a lot more than lip service to women's reproductive health. Support for Roe in the old Platform was justified on the basis of privacy and women's equality. The new Platform makes no mention of privacy; instead, it derives its moral authority from a "woman's right to choose safe and legal abortion" and talks about empowering people to make informed choices. A notable omission is the Clintonian phrase "safe, legal and rare," replaced by a more honest and modest goal of reducing unintended pregnancy through better health care, family planning and comprehensive sex education. Sex education was not even mentioned in the old Platform.

The progressive pro-life desire to see the Platform commit to reducing abortions was subtly undercut; this year, the Platform merely "recognizes" that sex ed, family planning and good health care will have the effect of reducing the need for abortion. In all other areas, the Platform uses strong language of commitment: the Party "strongly and unequivocally supports Roe" and "strongly supports access to affordable family planning services." Even the Platform's support for pre and post natal care and income support for women who have children is properly framed as a right on its own and not as a means to reducing the need for abortion.

All in all, the Platform comes very close to embracing the full reproductive health agenda that has been consistently advocated by the pro-choice, progressive women's movement.

So why, you might ask, are "pro-life" progressives (PP'ers) claiming victory in this Platform? Jim Wallis of Sojourners, the group that called the press conference, acted as spin meister extraordinaire, calling the Platform an "historic step forward" and thereby situating himself as a political power broker. As evangelicals in the pews leave the hard right and flock toward megachurches which focus less on controlling personal behavior and more on "feel good" faith, including feeling good about helping the poor and saving the environment, a new set of leaders is taking a closer look at the Democratic Party and positioning themselves near left-leaning evangelicals like Wallis. It is here where common political ground is being made. Up-and-coming religious leaders are as interested in political power as are those of the hard right - and they know as well as anyone else does that power is moving back to the hands of the Democrats.

This is the likeliest explanation for spinning a thoroughly progressive pro-choice plank as an anti-abortion victory. As the Sojourners' press conference progressed, it became clear that other than vague support for women who choose to continue pregnancies and "caring adoption laws," there was next to nothing in the plank these folks supported. Doug Kmiec, an antiabortion Republican Catholic who has endorsed Obama, noted that "The Platform still falls short of the Catholic ideal." Falls short! It is a slap in the face to Kmiec's Catholic ideal, which includes not only no abortion but no birth control even for married couples, and abstinence-only sexuality curricula. The Platform also makes an oblique reference to condoms as a means of preventing the transmission of HIV and AIDS, which the Catholic Church still rejects.

Others on the call and in the small coalition of PPers and pro-life Democrats have even declined to support family planning, in spite of Wallis' claim that the new Platform moves us from "symbolism to substance" and offers concrete ways to reduce the number of abortions. Given his and his colleagues' failure to support the measures that would really reduce the need for abortion, this was pure rhetoric. Wallis' Sojourners "takes no position on contraception" and Democrats for Life refused to endorse the contraceptive provisions in the Ryan-DeLauro bill entitled ‘Reducing the Need for Abortion." Frankly, it is hard to accept that these groups have a genuine interest in common ground on reducing the need for abortion when they refuse to support the single most important measure that would make that happen - "access to affordable family planning" - and these groups aren't even Catholic. It is either naïve or cynical to pretend that we will reduce the number of abortions by changing adoption laws or by the totally inadequate funds we think we might get allocated to help women raise kids. When you scratch the surface, the PPers are often sadly mostly just anti-abortion.

During the conference call, the group indicated it would push for further language changes. Some questioned whether there was ever a "need" for abortion. These progressives seem to resemble population controllers of old -- it is only the numbers that matter, not people's lives. A progressive Christian who has no sympathy for a woman who is carrying a deformed or disabled child, who is herself stricken with cancer, or who already has more children that she can care for, is suspect. And if that Christian is dumb enough to believe that the Platform should not talk about reducing "the need" for abortion -- because there are always church groups and anti-abortion groups ready to provide baby clothes or find good Christian homes for babies who would have been aborted -- he or she doesn't belong in Democratic politics.

The biggest disappointment the PPers acknowledged about the Platform was that it did not moralize about abortion. But Wallis took solace in the belief that the plank makes room for people with "moral convictions about abortion" -- as if those of us who support the right to choose have no moral conviction that undergirds our respect for choice. In our Salon article Are Democrats Backpedaling on Abortion, Kate Michelman and I warned against "going down the path of moral pandering on abortion," and we are pleased the Party was of the same mind.

I take solace in the fact that the Democratic Party did indeed move forward. I am certain that the quiet, experienced voices of pro-choice leaders carried far more weight than Democrats and fellow travelers who oppose a woman's right to decide whether abortion or childbearing and rearing is the best moral decision they can make.

The Reason for the Anti-contraception HHS Regulations ... In November, obstetrician-gynecologist Dr. Angela Flippin-Trainer opened a fully pro-life practice in southwest Florida. Flippin-Trainer and her husband, John-William Trainer III, also teach natural family planning. However, the hearts and minds of even the conservative bishops were swayed by the impassioned testimonials from married couples who explained the realities of attempting a healthy sex life without the aid of contraception. The vast majority of the commission voted to change the teaching and permit contraception.

Sadly, when faced with the proposal, the pope took a political decision to ignore the findings and instead adopted a minority report of the few members who opposed change. The impact of that fateful decision continues.

The ban has been particularly disastrous in the developing world where Catholic hierarchies hold significant sway over many national family planning policies, especially in Latin America and the Philippines, so obstructing good public health policies on family planning and HIV prevention.

The world is a very different place today to what it was in 1968. Then as now, Catholics can, in good conscience, make decisions that go against church teachings.

Catholics the world over support the use of contraception, and those who can access it use it. It would enable hundreds of thousands if not millions more families to make informed decisions about their futures if the church lifted this ban - not to mention the impact it would have on HIV prevention.

It is one thing to talk the talk on promoting a culture of life - and the bishops do that very well. It is quite another to respect the reality of people's lives. It would be truly compassionate and just for the church to change this fatally flawed teaching. It would be the truly pro-life thing to do.

Adults Need Sex Education, Too ... It is important to remember, in all our talk about improving sex education for our youth, that the older generations among us have sex, too:

This is important, but if a couple plan on becoming intimate, they also need information on issues such as sexually transmitted infection prevention and possibly pregnancy prevention.

New relationships bring new decisions, but some things stay the same. A healthy relationship is built on respecting each other and open communication. Partners, regardless of age or gender, need good up-to-date facts, so they can make good healthy choices and keep each other safe.

* Karen Rayne earned her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, which she puts to good use educating parents about how to talk with their teens about sex and romance. She also provides comprehensive sex education to teenagers.
* Heather Corinna is a sex educator and activist, founder and editor of Scarleteen.com, and author of “S.E.X.: The All-You-Need-to-Know Progressive Sexuality Guide to Get You Through High School and College.” Heather, via her website Scarleteen, serves tens of thousands of teens and young adults internationally every day, making sure they have a trusted place to ask questions they can’t ask anyone else.
* Nikol Hasler is one-third of a highly entertaining podcast, “The Midwest Teen Sex Show.” A Midwestern mother of three (who isn’t afraid to use her children in the service of sex education) Nikol has no formal training as a sex educator but along with her co-creators Guy Clark and Britney Barber, she has created a great sex education tool, playing with stereotypes not just about sex, but about age, race, class, and orientation in a way that is engaging and opinionated enough to be useful.
* Kris Gowan has a Master’s in Education in Human Development and Psychology and a PhD in Child and Adolescent Development. She is the author of “Sexual Decisions” (Scarecrow Press, 2003) and started www.teensforum.com (but left before it became overly commercialized) Her research has focused on healthy relationships/sexuality in adolescence and lately on positive youth development and the intersection between youth, the Internet and sexual development/sexual identity.

I, Karen Kreps, will be moderating the panel. I have more than two decades developing interactive content (www.netingenuity.com), and I’ve written and published the book, “Intimacies: Secrets of Love, Sex & Romance,” a collection of columns I writes for The Good Life magazine. The spy stuff is fairly confusing and rather hokey, but does that matter when these two Asian hotties are at the peaks of their physical beauty and sexual heat? Mission Erotica starts with Kobe Tai entering a house at night and getting attacked by two mysterious intruders. She dispatches them with some clumsily choreographed faux karate that makes her seem like Batgirl (the ‘60s version) without the mask. You almost expect “POW! BAM! SPLAT!” to pop up over the screen. Kobe’s outfit here is quite sexy: a short black leather coat, sequined top and mini, and silver pumps. Her hair is long and teased, and she’s in amazing shape.

At that point, criminal mastermind Mickey G enters. This is another stretch, as Mickey doesn’t exactly exude brilliance, no matter which side of the law we’re talking about. It seems that the bedroom break-in was a little test that Kobe passed brilliantly. Apparently Mickey and Kobe know each other from way back, and there’s still enough embers to rekindle that flame. Not that this is romantic. Kobe just hops on the bed, spreads her legs and says, “Should we just skip the small talk and start fucking?”

Then comes a long stretch of pussy-licking, while Kobe lets out her customary groans. She has a low, whining voice when she moans that is sexy enough to get a guy hard even with the picture off. Lengthy explanations are not Asia’s strong suit; her voice’s low timbre, coupled with her mumbly delivery, will keep your thumb glued to the rewind button.

But this is assuming you care about plot, and how could you with Asia plopping down on the leather sofa and removing her cream colored business suit. Asia is perfectly made up in this scene, her hair is long, black and silky, and this is the point in her career when she had a perfect set of natural-looking c-cup implants. She’s playfully sexual in this scene, whether she’s sucking Randy off, riding him hard, getting plowed by him, or receiving his jizz on her pussy.

Asia plants a bug in Senator Randy’s briefcase, but fails to hack into his computer. In case you don’t catch the close-ups of her doing this, she repeats the information out loud in a phone call to one of her “business” associates, drug kingpin Jon Dough. He’s stressed out and taking out his frustrations on his two standard-issue druglord complimentary bimbos, Chloe and

Speaking of bad girls, Kobe wakes up from her nightmares of Mickey’s murder, only to find herself in a squalid women’s prison, where she’s taunted by Nadia and Stephanie Swift. It’s a good thing the set clues us in with the prison bars, because the ladies’ prison uniforms (purple knee-length cotton dresses) make them look more like a girls’ field hockey team. Stephanie and Nadia’s taunting escalates rapidly, in a line or two, to some g/g action that’s designed to either intimidate Kobe or get her turned on. The latter ensues, as Kobe can’t help but stroke her own pussy while Stephanie licks Nadia’s. Meanwhile, the whole scene is being monitored on a hidden camera by the scheming Asia.

Kobe is one of those women who is so hot playing with herself that you almost don’t need the action of the other 2 women to get aroused. It looks a bit too easy, but then a title comes up saying “One Year Later,” so that of course makes it all plausible. Right?

Asia gives Kobe her new assigned identity. She trusts Asia now, and the two of them share more smoldering chemistry. But instead of a g/g, Kobe’s got to move to her new apartment and bump into Mark Davis in the hall. This was back when these performers were together in real life, so their chemistry is palpable. They share a glass of wine in his apartment, which is adorned with so many white candles in candlesticks that it looks like something from “Beauty and the Beast.” This would be a major creep alert for most women, but Kobe doesn’t seem to mind. She plunges into Mark’s waiting embrace. Some licking and fingering from Mark are followed up with an aggressive, passionate blowjob, some heavy duty doggie, then anal, with Mark finishing in her waiting mouth. €10,000 reward in Swords attack inquiry

Crimestoppers has offered a €10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a man who seriously assaulted a girl (17) in north Co Dublin earlier this month.

The girl was attacked as she walked through a park in Swords at around 2.40am on Sunday, August 3rd.

During what was described by a Garda source as a "particularly savage" incident, the victim was sexually assaulted and received severe head and facial injuries. She has since been released from hospital.

A Garda spokesman said the attacker was aged between 18 and 25, had dark hair and a sallow complexion. He is said to be between 5'5" and 5'8" tall and was wearing a black baseball cap and a black hooded top with a zip.

Detective Inspector Pat Conlon of Swords Garda station said it is believed there may have been a number of people in the area, which is known locally as the Jacko Recreational park, at the time of the attack and appealed for witnesses to come forward.

“You might know someone fitting this description who has changed their behaviour or their appearance or who has recently left the area for no apparent reason,” he said. “You might know someone who has recently had unexplained stained or soiled clothing”.

“Information you might think is unimportant might be very helpful to our investigation."

Det Conlon said investigating detectives were appealing to the large Eastern European population in the area for information. Posters and leaflets in English, Polish, Latvian and Lithuanian with the suspect’s description were distributed around Swords yesterday.

However, he said this fact did not necessarily suggest the man being sought was a non-national.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the gardaí at Swords on 01-6664700 or Crimestoppers on 1800 25 00 25.

Paula Eager of the Irish Crimestoppers Trust said any calls about the attack would be dealt with “in the strictest of confidence”. Callers do not have to leave their name and address if they do not wish.

Lesley Ann Warren: From Cinderella to Sex Symbol to Actress With

I met Lesley Ann a few
weeks ago in New York, as her new TV series “In Plain
Sight” was rocketing off to a great start on the USA
network. (It has just been picked up for a second season.) She plays Jinx, the
maddening, often tipsy, poignantly frustrated mother of witness protection
detective Mary McCormack. The season finale airs this Sunday, with a significant
emphasis on Jinx. If Lesley Ann doesn’t eventually end up with an Emmy nod,
there’s no justice in TV land!

Lesley Ann is slim
and pale. Her skin has an almost translucent quality. She gives off a fragile
vulnerability that reminds me of Marilyn Monroe or Natalie Wood. I say this, and
she is overwhelmed. “Oh, God. You just mentioned my two favorites. I can’t get
over your saying that. You know, years ago, there was supposed to be a musical
version of ‘Bus Stop.’ It was going to be called ‘Cherie,’ her character’s name.
I went up for it, and got it, but the show never happened.”

One show that
did happen was a musical version of “Gone With the Wind.” It closed before
reaching Broadway, but Lesley Ann was thrilled to be interpreting a role
originally played by another of her idols, Vivien Leigh. (Singing and dancing in
a tightly laced corset was another matter.)

actress has done lots of TV. She enlivened “Will class=amp>& Grace” a few seasons back, and recently came off a stint
on “Desperate Housewives,” appearing as Terri Hatcher’s mom. Movie fans probably
know her best from her Oscar-nominated turn in “Victor Victoria,” as the brassy
Harlow-esque showgirl who loses James Garner to Julie Andrews in drag. And her
quirky 1984 movie “Choose Me,” co-starring Keith Carradine and Geneviève Bujold,
is beloved by many. She says of “Choose Me”: “I’m crazy about that movie, and it
ushered in a new phase. I was maturing physically, and that was commented on. I
feel lucky that my transition began with such a good film.”

But she
started off as a Disney star in wholesome movies like “The Happiest Millionaire”
and “The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band.” However, as the Swinging
Sixties evolved, the actress feared her career would not. The Disney
organization had its strictures. She laughs, remembering the studio’s
consternation when she married hairdresser Jon Peters (later of Barbra Streisand
fame.) “He had long hair. Well, long for that time, and you know — they wouldn’t
let him into Disneyland!” (She is now married to Ronald Taft. She has a son by
her wedlock with Peters.)

“Times were changing, and my image didn’t
work. I didn’t necessarily want it to work. I had to leave Disney
and regroup. It took a while, but I did!”

Slowly, she
reestablished herself. She has perfected a specific type — been around but not
used up, a bit cynical but still optimistic, smart in a dumb way, or dumb in a
smart way. Wildly wacky or slightly tragic. She is always appealing and always
recognizably Lesley Ann Warren. Talking again about the youth culture, she says,
“After a while, if you are lucky enough to have lasted and if your work has been
meaningful, you have to protect yourself. You have to be willing not to
work, rather than become something you are not. When I show up onscreen, I want
people to know, that’s Lesley Ann Warren, and take it from there.”

And
what was it that attracted her to TV’s “In Plain Sight?”
She says, “The writing, the writing, the writing! When I sat down with them, and
I saw the arc of my character, what she really was; all her demons, and how she
was going to be revealed, I was hooked. I had to do it!”

In last week’s
episode, Jinx — a would-be actress — auditions for the lead role in a local
company version of “Sweet Charity” although, as Lesley Ann says, “Jinx is about
20 years too old!” The audition scene is riveting — she is singing, plaintively,
when she spots her daughter (McCormack) who has followed her into the audition,
not realizing what her mother was up to. They have a contentious relationship,
and Jinx does hit the bottle. She breaks off the song and flies into a
desperate, humiliated rage, confronting her daughter and fleeing. It is a
spectacular transition of emotions.

And by the way, her co-star, Ms.
McCormack, is terrific as the policewoman — sexy, tough, conflicted and
all-too-human. She joins Kyra Sedgwick and Holly Hunter as one of class=caps>TV’s most complex crime-fighting women.

A satisfying sex life is possible as you age into your 70s and 80s, new research suggests.

Many older Americans are apparently taking advantage of that fact, because 68 percent of men between 57 and 85 reported having sex last year, as did 42 percent of women, according to the study’s lead author, Edward Laumann, the George Herbert Mead Distinguished Service Professor of Sociology at the University of Chicago. And, Laumann added, more older women might have wanted to have sex, but there just aren’t as many available older men for them to partner with.

“Healthy people can have reasonably satisfying sexual health for most of their lives,” said Laumann. “There are challenges that arise, but it’s not aging, per se, that’s the issue. A decline in sexuality may be the canary in the mineshaft. Sexual problems may manifest before diabetes and high blood pressure.”

The study findings were published in the current issue of The Journal of Sexual Medicine.

“It’s definitely whether you’re elderly or “wellderly” that makes a difference,” said Dr. Virginia Sadock, director of the program of human sexuality at New York University Langone Medical Center in New York City. “Illness and medications make a difference in sex lives.”

Other factors that can get in the way of a satisfying sex life later in life include having had a sexually transmitted disease, and having physical problems, mental health issues or relationship difficulties, the study found.

The study included information from 1,550 women and 1,455 men between the ages of 57 and 85. All participated in the National Social Life, Health and Aging Project.

Some highlights of the study include:

* Having had a sexually transmitted disease (STD) in the past nearly quadrupled a woman’s odds of having sexual pain, and it tripled the odds a woman would have lubrication problems.
* In men, a history of STD was associated with five times the risk of finding sex unpleasant.
* In both older men and women, a common factor in sexual dysfunction and a decreased interest in sex was urinary tract syndrome.
* Both older men and older women reported that mental health issues affected their interest in sex.
* For men, relationship troubles also contributed to a lack of interest in sex and the inability to achieve orgasm.
* Drinking alcohol daily improved a women interest in and pleasure from sex. Alcohol didn’t have that effect on men.
* Hispanic women were twice as likely to report pain during intercourse.
* Black men were twice as likely to say they weren’t interested in sex and were more likely to report climaxing early.

“Sexual health is a harbinger of physical and mental health, and it plays an important role in the quality of life,” Laumann said. “Older people don’t just drop out of the picture. In general, if you’re healthy, you can be sexually active.”

Sadock added: “Don’t assume that because you’re older, your sex life has to be gone. If you’re healthy and connected to someone, and you’ve had a pretty good sex life when you’re younger, then you can have a pretty good sex life in old age.”

CyberCrime Unit Launches Search for Registered Sex Offender on the Run

~ Pensacola man is wanted on multiple charges of child pornography possession ~

TALLAHASSEE, FL – Attorney General Bill McCollum today announced that his CyberCrime Unit has initiated a search for a registered sex offender on the run after the man fled pending his arrest on charges of child pornography possession. Investigators with the CyberCrime Unit discovered Eddie Martin Frazier III's possession of child pornography during an undercover investigation. Frazier was last seen in Pensacola and will be the first CyberCrime fugitive featured on the Attorney General's Most Wanted website, http://www.myfloridalegal.com/mostwanted.

Frazier was convicted in 1998 on the charge of “lewd fondle or assault, commit or simulate sexual acts on or in the presence of a child under 16 in a lewd, lascivious or indecent manner.” He was sentenced to two years in prison and five years probation in that case.

A search warrant was executed Wednesday at Frazier's Pensacola residence with the assistance of the Escambia County Sheriff's Office, the Pensacola Police Department and the FBI. Several computers and other items of digital evidence were recovered from his home. Later, CyberCrime investigators and detectives from Pensacola Police Department conducted forensic reviews on two of the computers from Frazier's home and found numerous images of child pornography.

Upon his capture, Frazier will be charged with one count of promoting the sexual performance of a child, a second-degree felony, and 10 counts of possession of child pornography, a third-degree felony. MySpace is well-known for its huge online community and the way to do social networking, but it also can be a way to get your message out about your service or business if done in a non-pushy casual way. Today’s generation has seen so many ads and can block it out in a flash. What’s important to remember that MySpace and social networking is about making friends and casually mentioning what you do, what you’ve found helpful etc. It is not about hard selling.

After you set up your profile at MySpace you can explore using the various feature which include
adding friends, sending out bulletins, joining a group, blogging, writing comments and sending e-mails to your friends. Also when you set up your profile you are assigned a number but it’s nice to change it to a catchy phrase because that will be part of the url or website address people use to find you.

The group tab on MySpace is wonderful to browse because you can find groups that are targetted on your niche and join them. For instance, if you study the pets and animals tab you’ll see there are several groups available for dog lovers. The Dogs are the Best group has 31,901 members. There’s another group titled My Dog Rocks that has over 54,000 members. There’s also specialized niches as well such as a pit bull group that has 9000 members.

After you join a group you need to wait a week to post and then you can either answers people’s posts or post your own topic or question. It is best to put your offer in your signature file and to build up relationships with people in the group rather than be an aggressive marketer. Some groups also have a bulletin section which allow ads and you use that section as well in a more direct way. I have found that being anecdotal and talking about my own interest in the topic help builds connections with other group members. Think how long it would take you to grow a newsletter list yourself of 54,000 members and you’ll get a glimpse of the potential this has to let others know about your product or service.

Another feature I like is the commenting aspect. You can leave a comment on your friend’s profiles
that everyone who goes to their page will see. It can be worth it to make or buy a pretty banner so that you can include that within your comment. I always study someone’s page before I make a
banner so I can customize my remark to their personality. It takes more time but again it helps to build the relationship. If I see that the person likes a certain book I like or hobby I will mention that in my comment and then put a link to my site using a banner or a text link.

Blogging using the MySpace blog system is also a very good way to get traffic to your site. I usually
will post something in a diary or casual way and have a link to my site. I then will send out a bulletin
to tell people I’ve updated my blog. Don’t neglect MySpace in your marketing campaign as it has
wonderful opportunities to help people get to learn about your website, service and business.

I was one of the thousands (if not millions) of people who wanted my own
“internet money machine” and I came from a position where I had little or no
computer knowledge - I could send and receive emails and knew how to surf the
net - but that was literally it!

Does that sound like you? If so then how do you get from that position to

excited. I’d been looking for a home based business and eventually stumbled
across the internet as an obvious market place. After all I had a computer at

and just read the posts relating to your interest. If you like you can join and
actually ask some questions. Nearly everyone is helpful and friendly. But beware
the person who tries to hard sell his or her opportunity to you.

It helps to get over the get rich quick mentality as soon as possible. Sure
you can make serious money on the internet - it is after all a market place -
but start out with the intention of making a steady income first. Don’t try to
run before you can walk. When you have your regular income covered you will be
in a good position to move to the next stage (getting rich!)

There are so many business types and niches out there that you will have no
problem finding something - in fact you will probably be overwhelmed by the
sheer scale of it all. I really had no idea before I started. Just try and hone
in on something you have an interest in or that you have some experience in at
first. Then research the business and market and the opportunities presented.
Visit websites, use the forums and download some ebooks on the subject -
invaluable in my experience.

Every bit of help and knowledge you need is to be found online. Just use your
search engine as a research tool. The web is like an almost infinite library at
your fingertips. I can honestly say that I learned everything I needed without
leaving my seat!
